I deeply believe in the healing power of human connection, empathy, and vulnerability. I will create a space of warmth, safety, and openness so that you ultimately experience radical belonging and acceptance as your most authentic self. My commitment as a therapist is to allow my genuine self to be present in the therapeutic space as well. After all, I want to practice what I preach!       <image:title>About Cathryn - I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Cathryn Wright, MA, LPC, NCC (she/her) and I am an individual and couples therapist based in Colorado. I imagine my own story intersects with parts of what brought you to consider therapy. I am a middle child and have assumed the role of peacemaker, confidant, and empathizer for most of my life. I have walked this same journey of building awareness, deconstructing past narratives around identity, and rebuilding a resilient and authentic self. I don’t believe we ever fully arrive, but rather are on a journey back to ourselves throughout our entire lives. I understand the vulnerability, fear, and courage it takes to walk a harder path, ultimately leading to confidence and joy. When my lived experience doesn’t align with yours, I will approach your story with gentleness, curiosity, and compassion. I truly believe in the power of therapy and I hope I can come alongside you in your journey! My love for people and experiencing the most abundant life continues outside of the therapy room. I love spending time with my partner and my energetic chocolate lab, going for long walks outside, cooking a new recipe, baking, and getting lost in music.</image:title>

      <image:caption>Do painful memories that pop up that you wish wouldn’t? Do you keep having the same conflict come up within yourself and your important relationships? Your past doesn’t have to impact your present anymore. When you hear the word “trauma" you may think of a specific event, memory, or relational wound. You may think of past abuse, childhood trauma, or neglect. The truth is that we all have experienced some trauma in our lives - it can be from a one-time event or years and years of small events that have caused us to feel disjointed from ourselves. Unresolved traumas often carry over into our current life, causing us to feel distracted, hyperaroused, and fragmented.
